Extraordinary and Beautiful French Artwork

These authentic French paintings mostly done by Maurice Fallies (1883–1965) were lovingly collected by Madelyn, many discovered through the artist’s family and atelier. In her own words: “There is something about each painting that struck me with their beauty, simplicity and perfection that makes them unique.”

Although Fallies painted after the height of Impressionism, he carried its spirit forward. Inspired by the great Impressionist masters, he used expressive brushwork and atmospheric light to capture everyday Paris – its hidden corners, lively streets and iconic monuments seen from unexpected viewpoints. Each painting has a sketched, spontaneous quality that captures the essence of Paris and reflects fleeting moments and impressions that still feel instantly recognizable.

Madelyn has loved sharing these beautiful works, each one telling its own story. She loves using them to add a distinctive touch to our Paris Perfect apartments and sharing them with collectors around the world.
