Jardin de Luxembourg (10.25" x 8.5")

A favorite scene and painting; la vie de Paris in the Jardin de Luxembourg.  This is a joyful painting brought to life by the  French flags flying high, to the right of the center. Especially skilled strokes show the trees that transition from green to gray, to Autumn rust and even blue across the gardens.  You smile when you see it! Parisians  walking and scattered in front, roof of car – clearly a mid-20^th Century work of art.

Note the original sketches on the left which defined the shapes of the tree line and then transformed into soft painted trees.

We have carefully double matted it in pale white – it only needs to slip into a frame. Carefully double matted with a generous border which shows off the painting to their fullest.

Condition: some subtle marks on the painting. Overall very good condition.
