A winter day in Paris (9" x 11.5")

We love this period impressionist watercolor.  Painted in the late 1930’s or 1940’s here is Fallies’ talen:  stunning use of subtle colors in beige and gray – they set a beautiful neutral background, which is bustling with life.  The highlights are unmissable; the green roof of the Madeleine Church, the red automobile, the man and woman walking on the lower right in blue and camel coats.  His talent is so strong; with firm strokes the scene comes to life.  Most of all,you can take this same walk in Paris today and the buildings and scene remains untouched in its beauty. 

We have carefully double matted it in pale white – it only needs to slip into a frame. Carefully double matted with a generous border which shows off the painting to their fullest.
