SOLD: Sainte-Chapelle (9" x 12")

Busy and bustling Paris on the Île de la Cité, in front of the famous Sainte-Chapelle.  This scene is so beautifully rendered that you feel the movement of motor cars and people, and feel the season by the rich colors and chiaroscuro effect. This rich impressionistic painting uses taupes, grays, deep gray blues – depicting Sainte-Chapelle and the former residence of the Kings of France until the 14th century. The spires of Sainte-Chapelle fly up to the sky – it feels alive.

We have carefully double matted it in pale white – it only needs to slip into a frame. Carefully double matted with a generous border which shows off the painting to their fullest.
