Views of Venice (9" x 12")

This beautiful watercolor captures a sunny day in Venice, with the cathedral basking in the sunlight and statues adorning the facade. People are heading to church, and you can almost feel yourself there. Fallies' excellent perspective and use of colors—gray, beige, with slight peach and pink tones on the building to the left, and a brown column—create a perfect scene.

The sun creates a beautiful diagonal on the church, showcasing Fallies' perfect use of color. This painting works beautifully in a framed set, transporting you to the charming streets of Venice.

Maurice Fallies, who traveled to Italy in the early 20th century, studied under the renowned French painter François Gall. His works have been displayed in prestigious galleries such as the Louvre and the Musée d'Orsay, highlighting his incredible talent and skill.
