Les Boulevards de Paris (12" x 16.5")

This piece captures the transition period of 1930s-40s Paris, where modernity meets tradition. The grand cathedral of St. Augustin is the center, but the busy scene of cars and pedestrian and the famed 'boulevards de Paris' create the story.  The artist combines loose brushwork with architectural precision.  Fallies is known for demonstrating remarkable restraint in their palette, using creamy tones and precise brushwork to define the cathedral's architecture. The sparse presence of automobiles speaks to the historical context, while the overall composition achieves that quintessentially Parisian balance of grandeur and intimacy. 

We have carefully double matted it in pale white – it only needs to slip into a frame. Carefully double matted with a generous border which shows off the painting to their fullest.
