Reflections on the Seine (9.25" x 12")

Stunning watercolor by a true master.  Maurice Fallies was a well-known post-Impressionist painter who studied under Francois Gall.  Fallies’ works were recently shown at Musée de l'Ile de France/Château de Sceaux  along with paintings by Caillebotte.  In this scene, the water seems to ripple thanks to the beautiful brushstrokes of Fallies.  We love this classic Parisian scene of Haussmanian buildings in beiges contrasted with the warm grays of the bridge.  A lovely painting in neutral tones will grace any wall.

We have carefully double matted it in pale white – it only needs to slip into a frame. Carefully double matted with a generous border which shows off the painting to their fullest.
