Sunday in Paris (13"x10.5")

An original gouache by Fallies -- children playing in the gardens next to the Institut des Arts.  The scene is sheer happiness; the multi colors of the group of children contrasted with the brown soil and multi green canopies of the trees above. In the distance is the gray Institut de France.  This would look be lovely on a shelf or mixed with a series of Paris paintings.

We have carefully double matted it in pale white – it only needs to slip into a frame. Carefully double matted with a generous border which shows off the painting to their fullest.

Condition: some subtle marks on the painting. Overall very good condition.
