SOLD: Paris Sunset on the Seine I (11.5" x 7.75")

The series of of 5 original water colors paintings take you on the journey of Paris at its most beautiful -- as the sun is setting over the river Seine. 

The post-impressionist painter is incredibly skilled at using color and crafted lines create an entire story and wonderful feel of a special moment in time.  Here the sun reflects blue and slowly reflecting orange above the bridge, with skilled artistry to show the reflections below. We love the contrast of the orange sky with the dark green trees on the river bank.  And the story continues with the outline of the regal buildings on the Left Bank: the Institut des Arts and Haussmanian buildings. Skilled lines and colors plus the rich reflections in the water make you feel the depth and weight of the buildings.

We have carefully double matted it in pale white – it only needs to slip into a frame. Carefully double matted with a generous border which shows off the painting to their fullest.
