Stunning post-impressionist watercolor of pedestrians walking along the quai or riverbank of the Seine. They are at the corner of the Pont Neuf which crosses to the historic Place Dauphine.

We love the rust oranges of the famous buildings that mark Place Dauphine, dating from the early 1600’s.  You feel the richness of the architecture, the play of the shadows and shading of the trees reflected on the sidewalk and road.  True skill and excellence in this mid-20^th century painting. Painting dates from the 1940’s or 1950’sFramed and ready to hang.

We have carefully double matted it in pale white – it only needs to slip into a frame. Carefully double matted with a generous border which shows off the painting to their fullest.
